I received excellent care and guidance throughout my ACL and meniscus surgery journey. From the preparation phase to the recovery process, I felt fully supported with a clear plan and weekly progression.
Stiff neck after a long day at the screen, or pain radiating into your arm? We treat neck pain with manual therapy, exercise therapy and targeted strength training. Often the cause is not your posture, but the amount of load your neck can handle.

Neck pain is the fourth largest category of musculoskeletal conditions. 70% of people experience neck pain at some point.
For most neck pain without a specific identifiable cause, the issue often lies in a combination of mental and physical overload that results in pain in the neck. The key is to map the stressors that are present and how to address them.
Specific neck pain has a clear identifiable cause, for example a herniated disc or vertebral fracture. This is much less common, but no less debilitating. Setting up a proper treatment plan is essential for recovery.

At Movement Based Therapy, as the name suggests, we specialise in movement. Our treatment methods always have the same starting point: getting you back to pain-free movement through targeted exercise.
We always approach neck pain holistically, because we see that many more factors play a role than just physical load. The treatment plan is always tailored to your needs and goals.
We work towards autonomy: during the programme we also pass on knowledge, so if symptoms return you know exactly what to do to prevent them from getting worse.

With neck pain we look beyond physical load alone. Sleep, stress, workload and movement habits are part of the treatment plan.
A combination of hands-on work where mobility is limited and targeted strength training to build the capacity of your neck.
Objective measurement of strength, mobility and capacity to handle load. We adjust based on data, not feel.
During your programme you learn how to manage recurring symptoms yourself. Knowledge as part of recovery.
Strength training under supervision in our own training space. No separate gym needed for your rehabilitation.
No, physiotherapy is directly accessible in the Netherlands. You can book an appointment without a referral. We carry out the screening during your intake and set up the treatment plan together.
Not as often as people think. Research shows that posture is rarely the main cause. More often the deciding factor is the amount of load: how long and how intensively you load your neck compared to what it can handle. That is also where the solution lies.
Often not. For non-specific neck pain, imaging usually adds no value. We use clinical screening to decide whether a referral is needed. If there is any doubt, we coordinate with your GP or a specialist.
Yes, targeted mobilisation helps where mobility is limited. We combine manual therapy with exercise therapy and strength training, because hands-on work alone rarely delivers lasting results.
This depends on the nature of the condition. At the end of your intake we give you a realistic estimate of the treatment programme so you know what to expect.
Yes. Whiplash requires gradual build-up of load and strength, combined with education. We work with objective criteria for progression and monitor whether we are on track.

Cedrine helped me enormously with my recovery from recurring knee complaints. Within a few months the strength difference between both legs was minimal.
I've been helped tremendously by multiple members of the team for various issues over the course of about a year now. Not all team members have been my PT, but I have met them all and they are all great.
