Musculoskeletal ultrasound at Movement Based Therapy

What is ultrasound used for?

Ultrasound is used to:

  • Identify injuries such as muscle tears, tendon inflammation or bursa problems.
  • Assess tissue recovery after an injury or surgery.
  • Support the treatment plan with objective, visual information.
  • Prevent overload in recurring symptoms or in (top-level) sport loading.

The main advantage is that we can assess what is going on directly during your consultation, without you needing to visit a hospital or another centre for further imaging. That lets us be much more specific in the treatment plan.

I've been helped tremendously by multiple members of the team for various issues over the course of about a year now. Not all team members have been my PT, but I have met them all and they are all great.
