ABOUT IMARA

Movement scientist and physiotherapist.

During her studies Imara gained experience with sports-related conditions and with specific elbow, wrist and hand complaints. Alongside physiotherapy she has worked as an exercise physiologist and performance tester within elite sport, particularly in field sports like football and hockey.

Match-day physio at AFC Ajax youth.

As a match-day physio at AFC Ajax youth, Imara has gained extensive experience treating acute and subacute sports injuries as well as growing pain in children.

Interest: return to sport.

Imara's interest and specialisation lie in the rehabilitation of sports-related conditions, programming training and the full pathway back to return to sport, including the related strength and performance testing. On top of that she has additional specific knowledge of elbow, wrist and hand complaints.

As a physiotherapist Imara is driven by the conviction that a healthy and strong body needs to be in balance. It energises her to see people grow during their recovery, both physically and mentally. By paying attention to both, she supports clients in reaching their goals, big or small.

My mission goes beyond simply reducing pain. I want to give my clients the knowledge and skills to take charge of their own rehabilitation and gain a grip on their own health.
